APC Aspirants in Kaiama Demand Fair Candidate Selection

On May 14, 2026, aspirants for the All Progressives Congress (APC) representative position in Kaiama convened to express their rejection of candidate imposition and demand a fair electoral process. The aspirants, committed party loyalists, affirmed that the people of Kaiama should have the right to determine their preferred candidate for the House of Representatives.

They pledged to support whoever emerges from a consensual selection process involving local stakeholders. The meeting emphasized the importance of unity within the APC family and called on party leaders, including Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, to ensure that no candidate is imposed in the Baruten-Kaiama federal constituency.
