Kwara Commissioner Warns of Declining Donor Support for Health Programs in Nigeria

Kwara State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed, expressed concern over the decreasing support from donor agencies for health programs in Nigeria.

At a stakeholder meeting in Ilorin, she emphasized the need for increased government funding at all levels to ensure the efficiency of health programs, especially in combating Tuberculosis, Malaria, and HIV/AIDS. Dr.

Ahmed highlighted the success of the integrated malaria program, surpassing 90% performance indicators. She commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq's administration for its support.

The call was made for stakeholders to actively participate in planning and funding to reduce reliance on donor support and improve health outcomes in the state.
