Saliu Danladi Wins Kwara APC Governorship Primary Election

Saliu Danladi, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, emerged victorious in the APC governorship primary election, receiving 94,990 votes. He surpassed his closest rival, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, who garnered 41,700 votes, and Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki, who received 22,118 votes.

The results were officially announced on Friday evening by Musiliu Obanikoro, the chairman of the Kwara State APC governorship primary. Other candidates included Dr.

Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, who trailed with 22,118 votes, and several others with lower tallies. The election demonstrated strong support for Danladi across various local government areas, with reports indicating a 90% vote favoring him in five local government areas.

His victory reflects a solid backing from party members, particularly in the southern districts of the state.
