Boko Haram Attack in Woro: Survivor's Account of Horror

A survivor named Magaji Woro recounted the harrowing details of a Boko Haram attack in Woro, Kaiama Local Government Area. The assailants lured residents from their homes by calling them to prayer, exploiting the community's predominantly Muslim faith.

The attack began around 5 PM and continued until 4 AM, with no security personnel reportedly intervening. During the assault, the gunmen set houses on fire and shouted for help, creating confusion among the residents.

The survivor alleged that at least 176 people were abducted during the attack, with many others killed. The community expressed despair over the government's inaction, feeling abandoned and vulnerable in the face of such violence.
