Boko Haram Parades 176 Abductees in Disturbing Video

A disturbing video released by Boko Haram shows 176 abductees, including women and children, paraded by the insurgents. These individuals were allegedly seized from Woro Community in Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State.

The group, formally known as Jama'atu Ahlis Sunnah Lidda'awati Wal Jihad, interrogated the captives in the footage obtained by SaharaReporters. The video features women and children visibly distressed and poorly dressed, suggesting harsh conditions.

The Kwara State government has been accused of downplaying the scale of the abduction, with official claims stating only 20 to 30 individuals were kidnapped, while the video indicates 176 are in custody. This incident follows a coordinated attack on February 4, 2026, where many were killed, including two wives of the emir and several children.

The attack, linked to a faction led by Sadiku, reportedly aimed to compel residents to adopt extremist teachings, which the emir resisted, leading to the violent retaliation.
