Kwara State Combats Bandit Influx Through Mining Activities

Kwara State is taking steps to address the rise of banditry through mining activities. Chief Abosed Olaitan Buraimoh of the Kwara State Commission of Solid Minerals Development revealed plans to sensitize and educate traditional rulers and investors on legal mining practices to prevent bandit infiltration.

The state also aims to collaborate with the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority to ensure safe mining practices. By registering special purpose vehicles and issuing mine licenses, Kwara State seeks to boost investment opportunities and revenue generation through enhanced mining activities.
