Kwara State Opens Bids for Agro-Industrial Hub Project

The Kwara State government has initiated the bid opening for the construction of an agro-industrial hub located in Malet Moro Local Government Area, as part of the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) project. This announcement was made in a statement issued on Tuesday by Sangodar Ayinla from the KW SAPZ Project Implementation Unit.

The bid opening marks a significant milestone in the procurement process, which was conducted in compliance with the Islamic Development Bank's procurement guidelines. A total of eight bidders purchased bid documents, with four submissions publicly opened, including bids from RTD Thomson Ltd, DPL Construct, RSA Global Services Ltd, and Afdin Construct Ltd.

The next phase will involve a detailed evaluation by a committee. The project aims to establish agro-industrial hubs across Nigeria, enhancing agricultural value addition and creating job opportunities in rural areas, supported by the Federal Government and the African Development Bank.
