Kwara PDP Candidate Kawu Denies Ritual Video Claims

Bolakale Kawu, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, has publicly distanced himself from a viral video that allegedly associates him with ritual activities concerning his 2027 governorship ambition. The video features Alhaji Saheed Ishola, known as LogunOfe, who purportedly made comments related to ritual sacrifice in connection with the election.

Kawu's media office issued a statement on Saturday, asserting that he has no ties to Ishola or the activities depicted in the video. The statement emphasized that any attempts to link Kawu to such conduct are false and mischievous, and that Ishola does not represent Kawu or his campaign team.

Kawu's media office also reaffirmed his religious convictions, stating he is a devoted Muslim who does not engage in ritualistic practices. Furthermore, it clarified that Kawu's political aspirations are driven by a desire to serve the people rather than a desperate pursuit of political power.
