Kawu Denies Disruption of APC Woman Leader's Event

Engineer Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kwara State, issued a statement denying any involvement in the alleged disruption of an empowerment programme organized by the APC Kwara Central Woman Leader, Alhaja Sulaiman Tawakalitu Agaka. Kawu described the allegations as “false and politically motivated,” asserting that he neither attended nor authorized any disruption of the event.

He emphasized his personal relationship with Agaka, stating that mutual respect should prevail over political confrontation. Kawu expressed concern over reports of opposition figures being arrested following the incident, accusing the government of using security agencies against political opponents.

He called for the police to remain impartial and uphold the rule of law, urging that any political contest should focus on issues rather than violence. Kawu appealed to his supporters to remain calm and law-abiding as the 2027 elections approach, stressing that Kwara belongs to all citizens.
