Kwara State Commits to Enhancing Healthcare Access

The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to enhancing healthcare access for vulnerable populations, as stated by the Ministry of Health's press secretary, Saad Hamdalat. This commitment was reaffirmed during the flag-off of a three-day capacity-building program for health workers in Ilorin, led by Dr.

Amina El Imam. She noted that a significant number of vulnerable residents have already benefited from government-backed healthcare interventions.

The administration of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has demonstrated a strong political will to prioritize health needs, particularly for underserved populations. Dr.

El Imam highlighted the importance of consistent funding for health initiatives, especially basic healthcare provisions, to ensure Kwara remains eligible for federal reimbursements. The capacity-building workshop aims to enhance service delivery at the grassroots level, focusing on improving fund management and understanding operational guidelines.

Dr. El Imam emphasized that effective healthcare delivery relies on the expertise of stakeholders across all tiers of government.
