Security Forces Rescue Kidnapped Victims in Kwara

On Thursday, security operatives, including the Department of State Services and the Forest Guard, conducted a successful operation in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. The operation aimed to rescue two victims who had been abducted, resulting in the elimination of two armed bandits.

The victims rescued were identified as 16-year-old Fatima Azeez and 5-year-old Ibrahim Azeez. During the operation, security forces stormed a bandits' hideout in the forest area of Oba Isin Owa Onir, leading to the recovery of several items associated with kidnapping, including an AK-47 rifle, a single-barrel gun with a fully loaded magazine, nine empty mini solar panels, and food items.

The operation was part of a multi-agency counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping effort by the government.
