Former secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Ilorin, Taofiq Olateju, has criticized Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the unprecedented hunger and insecurity in Kwara State. In an open letter, Olateju accused the governor of neglecting his constitutional duty to constitute statutory boards and commissions, leading to a collapse in governance.

Olateju highlighted that key commissions like the Kwara State Judicial Service Commission and Sports Commission are operating without renewed leadership, posing serious risks to the state. He warned that the absence of these boards could erode governance credibility, damage the state's legacy, and reduce its attractiveness to international development partners.

Olateju urged Governor AbdulRazaq to act swiftly in line with constitutional provisions to restore the soul of Kwara and uphold democratic norms.
