Kyle Walker Retires from England National Team at 35

Kyle Walker, the 35-year-old Burnley full-back, has officially retired from international football, effective immediately. This decision marks the end of a decade-long career with the England National Team, during which he earned 96 caps and participated in five major tournaments.

Walker made his England debut against Spain in November 2011 and quickly became a regular figure in the national side. He played in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, as well as three European Championships (2016, 2021, and 2024).

Notably, he played a key role in England's run to the back-to-back European Championship finals in 2021 and 2024. Walker was recognized for his reliability as a defender, earning a spot in UEFA's team of the tournament for Euro 2020 and serving as England's vice-captain during the 2024 campaign.

His final appearance came in September 2023, where he scored against Ukraine. Despite his experience, he was recently left out of the England squad by manager Thomas Tuchel, signaling the end of his international chapter.
