Aaron Ramsey Retires from Professional Football

Aaron Ramsey has officially retired from professional football, bringing an end to a distinguished career that included serving as the captain of the Welsh national team. He made his senior debut with Cardiff City before moving to Arsenal in 2008, where he spent 11 years and won three FA Cup titles, scoring the winning goal in two finals.

After his time at Arsenal, he played for Juventus and had loan spells at OGC Nice and Rangers, where he reached the UEFA Europa League final in 2022 but missed a crucial penalty in the shootout. Following a brief return to Cardiff City, where he served as interim head coach, Ramsey joined Puma to maintain fitness in hopes of participating in the World Cup.

However, he did not secure a new club and left Mexico, opting to step away from playing. His career included 21 goals in 86 appearances for Wales, featuring in three major tournaments, including UEFA Euro 2016, where Wales reached the semi-finals.
