Labour Party Elects Interim National Leaders

The Labour Party has elected new interim national leaders in a bid to stabilize its internal structure. During a National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja, Senator Usman Nenadi was chosen as the Interim National Chairman, while Senator Darlington Nwokocha was appointed as the Interim National Secretary.

This decision comes after months of internal tension and leadership uncertainty within the party. The new interim working committee is expected to manage party affairs until the next convention.

The NEC meeting also produced a list of new interim officials to lead the party's transition. The goal is to restore order and prepare for a democratic and transparent National Convention.

The party's National Secretariat will publish guidelines and timelines for the upcoming congresses, reaffirming the party's commitment to internal democracy and moving past internal disputes.
