TikToker Aish Alagbo Shares Setbacks After Celebrating Wins

Mary Oguntuyi, a Nigerian TikToker known as Aish Alagbo, recounted a series of unfortunate events linked to her online celebrations of personal achievements. In a TikTok video filmed in her bedroom, she described four incidents where her fortunes changed negatively after sharing good news.

The first incident involved a job offer as a junior accountant at a large company, which was rescinded the evening before she was set to start, with the company citing concerns over her interview performance. Her second experience occurred on her birthday in 2024, when she received over one million in cash gifts, but the following year, she received nothing.

Additionally, while running a food business during her studies, a market woman pressured her to sell her stock, which led to her losing customers. Finally, after purchasing crates of eggs that spoiled overnight, she was forced to discard them despite having verified their freshness.
