Accord Party Denies Endorsement of Tinubu's Re-election

Dele Oladeji, the Lagos State Chairman of Accord and Secretary of the Forum of Accord Party Chairmen in Southern Nigeria, rejected claims that the party endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid for 2027. He stated that these claims, made by factional Accord presidential candidate Christopher Imumolen, were false and did not reflect the party's official position.

Oladeji clarified that no National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting had discussed or approved any endorsement of Tinubu. He emphasized that Accord had not deliberated on supporting Tinubu since preparations for the 2027 elections began.

Oladeji criticized Imumolen's statements as personal opinions aimed at gaining media attention and questioned his membership status, asserting that Imumolen's name was absent from the current membership register. Oladeji reaffirmed that Accord would contest all elective positions in the upcoming elections and urged members to disregard any reports suggesting an endorsement of Tinubu.
