Imumolen Endorses Tinubu for 2027 Presidential Election

On a Friday news conference in Lagos, Prof. Christopher Imumolen, the factional Accord Party’s presidential candidate and National Chairman, announced his withdrawal from the 2027 presidential race and endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election. Imumolen stated that Tinubu is well positioned to win due to his reforms, leadership, and increasing nationwide support.

He emphasized that national interest should take precedence over personal ambition and that continuity in governance is essential. Imumolen outlined ten reasons for his endorsement, including Tinubu's courage in implementing economic reforms, leadership capacity, commitment to progressive governance, and youth empowerment initiatives.

He acknowledged that despite previous criticisms of Tinubu, he has recognized the progress made under the current administration. Imumolen asserted that no opposition candidate has a stronger prospect than Tinubu and commended the administration for appointing young Nigerians to strategic positions.
