Lagos State Announces Alternative Routes During Kara Bridge Rehab

The Lagos State government has issued an advisory for motorists as the rehabilitation of Kara Bridge resumes, resulting in a two-week partial closure from March 10 to March 28. The Lagos State Ministry of Transport has directed motorists to follow alternative routes during this period to manage traffic effectively.

Two main route options have been provided: Option 1 involves using the Third Mainland Bridge to connect to Ketu, Mile 12, and Ikorodu Garage via Sabo Roundabout, Isagamu Road, and Itokin Road. Option 2 directs motorists from Lagos Island to link Ilubinrin, access Ijora Bridge, and connect to Eko Bridge, Funsho Williams Avenue, Ikorodu Road, Ojota, and Ketu, ultimately leading to Mile 12 and Ikorodu Garage.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority will deploy strategies to ease vehicular flow, and motorists are urged to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays.
