Lagos Arrests 75 Suspects and Seizes Drugs in Coastal Road Crackdown

The Lagos State Environment Taskforce, led by Tokunbo Wahab, arrested 75 suspected hoodlums and recovered illicit drugs during a late-night enforcement operation along the Coastal Road. The suspects, comprising 68 males and 7 females, were apprehended in a bid to tackle crime hotspots and ensure the safety of residents and commuters.

Inspector Omosanjo Moham sustained serious head injuries in a violent attack during the raid. The Lagos State government is committed to restoring order and securing the Coastal Road as a vital economic corridor.

This crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to prevent criminal activities like traffic robbery, drug dealing, and extortion in the area. The operation also targeted individuals accused of extorting money, illegal waste disposal, and other criminal acts.

Security enforcement will continue to maintain order and protect public infrastructure in identified flashpoints.
