Lagos Agency Arrests Burglar, Recovers Firearms in Imota

On March 13, 2026, the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency conducted an operation in the Imota area following reports of suspicious movements around Araromi. The operation led to the arrest of a 25-year-old suspect identified as Mondai Enoch.

During interrogation, Enoch reportedly confessed to possessing two firearms, which led the officers to an incomplete building in the Agbowa area, where a locally made long gun was recovered. The agency's General Manager, Dr.

Ifalad Oyekan, reaffirmed the commitment to strengthen collaboration with security agencies at federal, state, and local government levels. The recovered firearms were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, specifically the Imota Police Division, for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Ongoing efforts are being made to recover a second firearm allegedly stolen from Ogun State.
