Lagos Distributes 15,675 Learning Materials to Schools

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has initiated the distribution of 15,675 teaching and learning materials provided by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) to public primary schools within the state's 20 Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs). This distribution, which includes HOPE EDU materials for Early Childhood Care, Development and Education (ECCDE) and Integrated Qur’anic Tsangaya Education (IQTE), was officially launched at LASUBEB’s Multi-Purpose Hall in Maryland, Lagos.

This initiative is part of UBEC's nationwide distribution of instructional materials under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at improving access to quality education. Dr Beatrice Okei, South-west Zonal Director of UBEC, emphasized the commission's commitment to ensuring quality education for every Nigerian child.

LASUBEB Chairman Dr Hakeem Shittu described the materials as strategic investments for enhancing classroom instruction. Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Jamiu Alli-Balogun, urged education managers to ensure the effective use of these materials to improve learning outcomes.
