LASPEC Launches Online Verification for Pensioners in Lagos

The Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC) has announced an online verification exercise for eligible pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme, scheduled from October 26 to November 25, 2026. This initiative targets retired heads of service, permanent secretaries, and pensioners from the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and the Civil Service Pension Office (CSPO).

Mr Babalola Obilana, the Director-General of LASPEC, emphasized the importance of this exercise for updating pensioners' records and confirming their eligibility. The verification process is strictly online, and pensioners are advised not to visit LASPEC offices.

Specific portals have been designated for different groups: retired heads of service and permanent secretaries at verify.laspec.gov.ng, TESCOM pensioners at verify.tescomlagos.ng, and CSPO pensioners at verify.cspo.ng. Participants must complete a two-step login validation and provide necessary personal information, including their Bank Verification Number (BVN) or National Identification Number (NIN).

LASPEC has provided contact numbers for assistance, urging all pensioners to complete the verification by the November 25 deadline.
