Lagos State to Upgrade Key Roads in Ikeja GRA

The Lagos State Government has commenced plans to reconstruct and upgrade key roads in Ikeja GRA, specifically targeting Ladok Akintola Road and Oladipo Batey Tayo Ayeni Adetunji Adeoba Sowemimo Road. This initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and connectivity within the upscale neighborhood.

The announcement was made during a stakeholders' meeting organized by the Office of Infrastructure, where Olufemi Daramola, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure, represented the Permanent Secretary of the Office of Infrastructure, Tokunbo Oyenuga. The project is part of a broader urban regeneration and road rehabilitation program by the state.

Oyenuga emphasized the use of concrete pavement technology and solar-powered streetlights to improve durability and safety. Residents were urged to cooperate with the government and contractors to minimize disruptions during construction.

Muiz Banir, Chairman of the Ikeja GRA Residents Association, welcomed the government's intervention and expressed confidence in the project's potential to enhance mobility in the community.
