Lagos State Launches Recruitment for Healthcare Workers

The Lagos State government has commenced the recruitment of healthcare personnel, including doctors and nurses, across its 29 secondary healthcare facilities. This initiative, approved by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, aims to strengthen healthcare delivery and address workforce shortages in the sector.

The Lagos State Health Service Commission announced that the recruitment process will fill vacancies in government hospitals and is part of the administration's commitment to providing quality healthcare to residents. The recruitment portal is open for applications from July 13, 2026, to July 24, 2026.

Available positions include consultants in various specialties, senior registrars, medical officers, dental officers, pharmacists, physiotherapists, medical laboratory scientists, optometrists, radiographers, nurses, clinic psychologists, and health assistants. Candidates interested in applying can visit the Lagos State Health Service Commission job portal.

The commission has warned applicants that the recruitment process is free and that no one should be paid during the exercise.
