The Shamadean Imole Charity Foundation has initiated the sixth edition of the Lagos State Inter-Public Schools Championship, aimed at fostering academic excellence, creativity, and sportsmanship among students in public secondary schools. This initiative is in collaboration with the Lagos State Government through the Ministries of Basic and Secondary Education and Information.

The championship engages public junior and senior secondary schools from six education districts, including Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu, Ikeja, and Lagos division. Activities include debate, chess, scrabble, table tennis, football, and cooking competitions for both students and teachers.

The Lagos State High School Creatives (LSHSC) will also feature artistic talents. Preliminary rounds have begun in various locations, with the competition set to continue in September.

Aderemi Oki, the convener, stated that the initiative aims to restore the value of education, having already returned over 700 students to school since its inception in 2021. Major events include a cooking competition on October 27 and football finals on November 19.
