Lagos Government Announces 8-Month Traffic Diversion for Lekki-Ajah Road Rehabilitation

The Lagos State Government has revealed an extensive road rehabilitation project along the Lekki-Ajah corridor, scheduled to last eight months from November 15, 2025, to July 15, 2026. The project aims to enhance road safety and travel efficiency by addressing persistent traffic congestion on one of the city's busiest transit routes.

Divided into two strategic phases, the rehabilitation will cover the stretch from Lekki Second Toll Gate to Ajah Bridge, with motorists expected to be diverted via Ijora Causeway during a 15-day closure for maintenance work. Lagos State Commissioner of Transport, Mr.

Oluwaseun Osiyemi, emphasized the importance of patience and adherence to traffic management directives throughout the project.
