Lagos Implements Speed Cameras with Huawei to Enforce Traffic Fines

Lagos State has introduced speed cameras in collaboration with Huawei Technologies to enforce new traffic fines, monitor traffic violations, and enhance road management. The system includes high-definition cameras, smart sensors, and real-time data analytics to detect speeding, red light running, and illegal U-turns.

The initiative, led by Oluwaseun Osiyemi, aims to promote responsible driving behavior and reduce accident rates. Additionally, the Federal Government inaugurated a new CCTV control center on the Third Mainland Bridge to monitor traffic enforcement.

The system is part of a broader plan to enhance security, prevent accidents, and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
