Lagos Lawmaker Oyekan Olumegbon Distributes Aid to Constituents

Omolara Oyekan Olumegbon, a lawmaker representing Lagos Island in the Lagos State House of Assembly, distributed food items and cash gifts to her constituents during an event held over the weekend. She reiterated her commitment to improving the welfare of her constituents, stating that the initiative was driven by a desire to replicate grassroots impact at both state and federal levels.

Oyekan Olumegbon mentioned that she aims to provide stipends to people, starting with amounts of N10,000 and N20,000, with hopes to increase this to N50,000 per beneficiary. She noted that similar interventions would continue through 2024, 2025, and 2026, including outreach programs such as distributing free JAMB and WASSCE forms, supporting widows, and marking International Day of the Girl Child.

Additionally, she disclosed plans for a back-to-school initiative, solar projects, and community development schemes. Oyekan Olumegbon emphasized the importance of mobilizing party members for voter education and civic participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
