Lagos PDP Calls for Enhanced School Security Measures

The Lagos State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has urged for enhanced security measures in schools across Nigeria. This call comes in light of the recent kidnapping of pupils and a teacher in Oyo State, which has left families traumatized.

Dr. Christoph Odianarewo, the party's spokesperson, expressed relief and gratitude for the successful rescue of the victims after nearly two months in captivity.

The PDP commended the professionalism and resilience of security agencies involved in the rescue operation and praised Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for his leadership during this crisis. The party emphasized the need for stronger preventive security measures and faster emergency response mechanisms to improve coordination among various levels of government and security agencies.

While acknowledging the successful rescue, the PDP stressed the importance of gratitude for the safe return of the victims and recognized the ongoing challenges faced by families affected by such incidents.
