Lagos Police Arrest 118 Suspected Criminals in Two Weeks

The Lagos State Police Command reported a successful operation resulting in the arrest of 118 suspected criminals within a two-week timeframe. During a press briefing held at the command headquarters in Ikeja, Commissioner of Police Tijani Olayiwola Fatai reaffirmed the command's commitment to protecting lives and property.

The arrests were part of a strategic crackdown on criminal activities, including armed robbery, cultism, kidnapping, vandalism, and street violence. The police recovered a total of 11 locally made Beretta pistols, one English-made Beretta pistol, two Dane guns, nine telecom power batteries, 21 bags of suspected Indian hemp, a cutlass, charms, and other incriminating items.

This operation underscores the police's firm resolve to rid Lagos of criminal elements and enhance public safety.
