Lagos State Probes Chemical Warehouse Fire in Mile 2, Amuwo Odofin

The Lagos State government is conducting an investigation into a recent fire incident at a chemical warehouse in Mile 2, Amuwo Odofin. The fire, which posed significant risks due to the stored chemical materials, was promptly responded to by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.

Margaret Adesey of the fire service confirmed the absence of casualties. Damilola Ok Osanyitolu from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency stated that the probable cause of the fire is linked to the chemical storage facility.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing explosions from the warehouse. Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information in Lagos State, emphasized the need for strict enforcement of safety regulations to prevent such incidents.
