Lagos State Launches Tech-Driven Governance Training

The Lagos State Government has initiated a two-day executive leadership training program for senior public servants, commencing at the Marriott Hotel in Ikeja. This initiative, part of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's broader push to reform public service and align it with global standards, aims to strengthen leadership capacity within the state’s workforce.

Top officials from various ministries and agencies are participating, with a focus on equipping them with skills necessary to lead in a rapidly changing governance environment. Director of Public Affairs at the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Mahmud Hassan, emphasized the importance of human capital development as a pillar of the Greater Lagos Agenda.

Bode Agoro, head of service, noted that many officials are already enrolled in specialized postgraduate programs to enhance their leadership competencies. The program, in collaboration with Rome Business School Nigeria, aims to integrate global best practices into local governance, ensuring that Lagos State remains a leader in public service excellence across Africa.
