Lagos Seals Mall and Toilet for Waste Management Issues

On Tuesday, the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, led by Tokunbo Wahab, sealed Cosjan Mall located along Festac Link Road and a public toilet facility on Offin Road. This action was prompted by allegations of improper waste disposal practices.

The ministry noted that the public toilet operated a septic chamber that directly drained into the drainage system, leading to offensive odors and sewage overflow within the community. This situation was deemed a public nuisance and posed significant risks to human health.

The ministry's intervention underscores the importance of proper waste management to prevent environmental pollution and protect community health.
