Lagos State Enhances Auditor Skills with Data Training

The Lagos State Government has initiated a four-day data analytics training program for over 200 internal auditors to enhance their capacity in financial analysis and risk management. Dr. Mr. Oyeyemi Ayoola FCA, a special advisor to the governor on internal audit, emphasized the importance of this training in improving the accuracy of financial insights and supporting informed decision-making.

The training, held at Alausa, Ikeja, aims to equip auditors with modern data analytics techniques, moving away from traditional manual methods. Permanent Secretary of the Office of Internal Audit, Mr. Monsurat Titilop Alaka, described the program as a significant milestone in strengthening the internal audit function within public service.

Participants, including Mr. Lawal Yusuf Bankol and Mr. Wuraola Oloko, received practical training on data transformation and visualization techniques. The Lagos State Government remains committed to investing in the professional development of internal auditors to promote financial discipline and enhance public confidence in governance.
