Lagos Woman Sues TikToker Peller for ₦395 Million

Osarobo Odigi, a Lagos resident, has initiated legal proceedings against popular TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, demanding ₦395 million in damages. The lawsuit, filed on March 10, 2026, alleges defamation, cyber harassment, and violation of privacy.

Odigi's counsel, Bola Osiney and FA Garrick, claim that during an incident at Folixxx Lounge in Lekki on January 6, 2026, Peller verbally attacked Odigi and recorded the encounter without her permission. The confrontation reportedly escalated after Odigi expressed alarm over loud outbursts, leading to Peller making offensive remarks that Odigi describes as defamatory, damaging her reputation.

The suit claims that the subsequent sharing of the footage on social media caused Odigi emotional distress and public ridicule. She seeks ₦200 million for defamation, ₦100 million for emotional suffering, ₦75 million for distress due to alleged cyberbullying, and ₦20 million for legal expenses.

Odigi demands the immediate removal of the video and a public apology from Peller, warning of further legal action if her demands are not met. Peller had previously issued a public apology on January 9, 2026, admitting to inappropriate conduct.
