Noa Lang's Thumb Surgery After Injury at Anfield Successful

Noa Lang, a 26-year-old midfielder for Galatasaray, suffered a serious cut to his right thumb during a Champions League match against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday. The injury occurred in the 76th minute when Lang collided with an advertising hoarding, causing him to fall and clutch his wounded hand in apparent agony.

Liverpool players Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk attended to him as medical staff from the Netherlands provided assistance. Lang was taken off the field on a stretcher and received oxygen.

A statement released on Thursday confirmed that his surgery went well. Later, Lang shared a photo from Whiston Hospital, smiling alongside two nurses wearing Galatasaray shirts, and expressed his gratitude on Instagram.
