LASEPA Launches Digital Training for Noise Pollution Offenders

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has launched a mandatory digital training program for individuals and organizations found guilty of violating the state's noise pollution regulations. This initiative, announced by Funmi Ogundar, is part of a broader effort to strengthen environmental compliance through technology-driven solutions.

The program was formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with Simplifi IQ Lab, aimed at enhancing scientific and digital approaches to noise pollution management across Lagos State. During the signing ceremony, Dr.

Babatunde Ajayi, the General Manager of LASEPA, emphasized that this partnership represents a significant step towards building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Lagos. The new framework mandates that offenders undergo compulsory digital training designed to improve awareness of environmental laws and encourage responsible environmental practices.

Successful completion of the training will result in a verified digital certificate. The initiative also includes the establishment of a unified digital platform for reporting and monitoring environmental infractions.
