LASEPA Shuts Down Lagos Nightclub and Hotel for Noise Violations

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has closed down Westgat Arena Club and Dave Premium Suit located in Alaper Ketu, Lagos, due to ongoing violations of noise pollution regulations. The enforcement action took place on Monday after the establishments failed to comply with an abatement notice issued by the agency.

Tokunbo Wahab, representing the Lagos State government's efforts to enforce environmental laws, stated that the closures were necessary to protect public health. Babatunde Ajayi, the General Manager of LASEPA, emphasized the agency's commitment to promoting a cleaner and safer environment across the state.

He urged residents and business owners to adopt environmentally responsible practices and cooperate with regulatory authorities. LASEPA plans to intensify enforcement actions against violators to curb environmental nuisances and protect residents from the harmful effects of pollution.
