LASEPA and Simplifi IQ Lab Ltd Digitize Noise Monitoring

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has entered into a partnership with Simplifi IQ Lab Ltd to digitize noise pollution monitoring across Lagos State. The memorandum of understanding was signed at LASEPA's headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, with Dr.

Babatunde Ajayi, the General Manager of LASEPA, and senior officials from Simplifi IQ Lab Ltd in attendance. This collaboration aims to introduce a scientific, data-driven approach to managing environmental noise and to improve the state's regulatory system.

The initiative will deploy digital tools for monitoring, reporting, and enforcing noise pollution standards, reflecting the Lagos State government's commitment to utilizing innovative technology for efficient and transparent environmental management. The partnership also includes mandatory digital training for individuals and organizations found guilty of violating noise pollution regulations, aimed at fostering long-term compliance.

Ajayi emphasized that this partnership represents a significant step towards smarter environmental regulation and enhancing public confidence in LASEPA's operations.
