LASEPA to Host Pollution Control Workshop in Lagos

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has announced a training workshop scheduled for May 6, 2026, aimed at promoting sustainable operational practices for pollution abatement plants across Lagos State. The workshop will take place at a suitable location within the CMD area in Alausa, Ikeja.

Tund Ajayi, the General Manager of LASEPA, stated that the initiative is designed to enhance the technical capacity of industrial stakeholders and improve environmental management practices. The training aims to develop the necessary skills for efficient operation and maintenance of pollution abatement plants while encouraging the adoption of sustainable practices and safety maintenance processes.

Ajayi emphasized that the training will reinforce adherence to environmental regulations in the state, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards guiding effluent emissions and discharges into the environment, thereby contributing to a cleaner and healthier ecosystem. The program targets personnel involved in the operation and maintenance of pollution abatement plants, quality assurance personnel, environmental consultants, and health and safety officers.
