LASTMA Launches Free Hotline for Traffic Emergencies

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has introduced a free hotline, 3367, to facilitate traffic complaints and emergencies. This toll-free short code replaces the previous long service code and is designed to enhance emergency response and traffic management across Lagos State.

According to a statement issued on Sunday by Adebayo Taofiq, the Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department at LASTMA, the hotline is accessible to subscribers of MTN, 9mobile, Etisalat, and Glo networks. It allows road users to report vehicle breakdowns, road crashes, disabled vehicles, and traffic obstructions requiring urgent intervention.

LASTMA's General Manager, Olalekan Bakar Oki, described this initiative as a significant step towards improving road safety and promoting a technology-driven, citizen-centered traffic management system. The hotline operates in English, Yoruba, and Pidgin English to encourage wider public participation and eliminate language barriers during emergencies.
