Late Arrival of Materials Disrupts APC Primary in Nasarawa

The APC governorship primary election in Nasarawa State was disrupted by the late arrival of electoral materials, which affected various electoral wards across the state. Reports indicated that by 6 PM, materials had not yet arrived in several areas, including Ciroma Ward, where voting had not commenced by 3 PM.

Observations from the Kokona Local Government Area revealed that eligible voters were returning home due to the absence of voting materials. At Dunoma Primary School in Lafia Local Government Area, residents expected hundreds to participate, but many were seen stranded.

Security personnel, including military, police, and civil defense, were present to maintain law and order. The primary election was ongoing and peaceful, although the atmosphere was described as rowdy.

Notable aspirants for the governorship position included Ahm Aliyu Wadada, former Inspector General of Police Moham Abubakar Adamu, and Zakka Yakubu, among others.
