Yar’Adua's Body Smuggled Back to Nigeria, Claims Amadi

Sam Amadi, the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, disclosed during an interview on Arise Television that the body of late former President Musa Yar’Adua was smuggled back into Nigeria from Saudi Arabia at midnight. Yar’Adua, who served as Nigeria's president from 2007 until his death in May 2010, had been receiving treatment for pericarditis in Saudi Arabia since 2009.

He returned to Nigeria on February 24, 2010, and died on May 5, 2010, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Amadi highlighted the secrecy surrounding Yar’Adua's health issues, stating that it was a taboo to discuss them openly at the time.

He mentioned that he was active in office when Yar’Adua died and that he, along with Ojo Maduekwe and others, had to travel to Saudi Arabia to inquire about the president's condition. Amadi criticized the lack of clarity regarding the circumstances of Yar’Adua's death and the subsequent handling of his body.
