LAWMA Urges Waste Disposal Compliance Along Lagos-Badagry

The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has called on traders and residents to engage Private Sector Participation (PSP) operators for waste disposal along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway corridor. This initiative was disclosed in a statement on Monday via LAWMA's official social media platform.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, is overseeing the exercise, which targets identified waste blackspots. The bulk waste evacuation commenced at Alaba Rago, with heavy-duty carriers deployed to support the cleanup efforts.

Residents and traders are advised to comply with environmental regulations by utilizing the assigned PSP operators for waste disposal. The cleanup operation will cover key areas, including Oril Doyin, Alaba Rago, Agric Barrack, and Iyana Iba, and aims to extend to other waste blackspots along the corridor.

This intervention is part of a broader compliance and environmental sustainability drive initiated by LAWMA.
