Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe, currently serving his fifth term as a member of the House of Representatives for the Dawakin Tofa/Rimin Gado Federal Constituency, was booed at an APC ward congress in his hometown of Tofa, Kano State. The incident occurred during a party leadership election meeting, where aggrieved youths openly confronted him, expressing their disapproval through chants and abusive remarks, as captured in a viral video.

The situation escalated, leading to heightened tensions as Jobe struggled to leave the venue amid the protests. This event marks Jobe's first major public appearance in his hometown following his recent return to the APC, which has fueled speculation about his intentions to seek an automatic ticket for the upcoming elections.

Earlier in the month, Jobe had appealed for forgiveness from his constituents regarding perceived shortcomings during a stakeholder meeting, amid criticisms of his performance in the National Assembly, particularly concerning a bill sponsored by Umar Danladi regarding federal universities of medical sciences.
