Lawyer Demands Arrest of Sheikh Gumi for Allegedly Supporting Terrorism in Nigeria

Human rights advocate Chief Malcolm Omirhobo has called for the arrest and prosecution of renowned Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi for allegedly publicly defending terrorists in Nigeria. Omirhobo accuses Gumi of openly supporting bandits and insurgents, portraying them as misunderstood victims rather than criminals.

Despite Gumi's repeated remarks and visits to terrorist camps, Omirhobo stresses that freedom of speech does not protect speech promoting crime or violence. He cites legal provisions against supporting terrorism and calls for urgent action by security agencies and the Attorney General to investigate and prosecute Gumi if necessary.
