Action Collective Defends Akpoti-Uduaghan in Akpabio Feud

Action Collective, an advocacy group, has cautioned against involving Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in the ongoing conflict between Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Sandra Duru. In a statement by National Coordinator Teddy Onyejuwe, the group addressed Duru's recent claims that Akpabio hired her to politically undermine Akpoti-Uduaghan, including allegations of her traveling internationally for this purpose.

These claims remain unverified. The group recalled Duru's previous accusation in 2025, where she alleged that Akpoti-Uduaghan offered her N200 million to make allegations against Akpabio, which Akpoti-Uduaghan denied.

The feud between Akpabio and Akpoti-Uduaghan began publicly in February 2025, linked to a dispute over her Senate seating arrangement and alleged sexual advances made by Akpabio in December 2023. This dispute led to Akpoti-Uduaghan's six-month suspension from the Senate in March 2025.

Onyejuwe emphasized that the current allegations should not involve Akpoti-Uduaghan and that Duru and Akpabio should resolve their issues independently.
