Israeli Strike Kills Three Journalists in Lebanon

On a Saturday, three journalists were killed in southern Lebanon due to an Israeli military strike, including Ali Shoeib, a prominent correspondent for Hezbollah's Al Manar network. The Lebanese authorities, including President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, condemned the attack, labeling it a blatant crime and a violation of international humanitarian law.

The Israeli military confirmed the strike, alleging that Shoeib operated within Hezbollah, which they classify as a terrorist organization. The ongoing conflict has escalated since March 2, when Hezbollah retaliated against Israel, leading to significant casualties.

Reports indicate that at least 1,189 people have died since hostilities resumed, including five journalists in 2023-2024. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that nine paramedics were killed during rescue missions, and the military mourned the loss of its soldiers.

The situation remains dire, with continued Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure.
