Lekan Muibi Reacts to Goddai Appah's Fight Withdrawal

Nigerian boxing star Lekan "The Engine" Muibi addressed the withdrawal of his opponent Goddai Appah from their highly anticipated WBO Africa title clash, which was scheduled for July 31, 2026, in Lagos. Muibi, who holds an undefeated record of 20 wins with 19 knockouts and is the undisputed Nigerian West African lightweight champion, expressed his desire for Appah to recover quickly.

Appah, who has a record of 15 wins and 2 losses with 13 knockouts, won the WBO Africa cruiserweight belt after defeating Ezra Arenyeka earlier in the year. Muibi's management team released a statement indicating that the fight was called off due to an alleged injury Appah sustained during training.
